david Shinnthis shot i really like because of one the clarity and two because i caught that ball breaking on his arm. i really love the sharpness that lens of mine gets and i love the almost monochromatic look to all my shots from this shoot. if i could do anything different to this shot i wish i was like a half a second earlier so i could get that bal right on his arm but im very happy how this all turned out. thank you flickr for being so sharp on the uploads im surprised i havent used it more. Use Flickr for all your uploading needs. lol

MiniNubnow this shot i particularly like not just the positioning of his body and gun or the fact that its just a really cool shot but the fact that its soft dirt. Tucson paintball fields were infamous for there hard hard dirt and now its beach sand what could be better. ASTROTURF!!! anyway this shot does an amazing job of showing the high intensity of this game quite like this does. i think that if i could re do this i would go for a different angle and try and get all of his body in it this time. but i am very pleased with all these shots.

Ryan LovatoThis shot did me quite a bit of good because its gonna make me some money here and if its not money its gonna be paint to play with. anyway this shot was a pain in the ass to capture and im still surprised i managed to pull it off. as you can see the ball is just leaving the barrel but you can also see that the ball is very small and not that big of a motion blur, thats because it was so bright outside my camera was at 1/4000 shutter speed so it wouldnt all turn out blown and crappy. well lucky me right. this shot scored me a nice cute little job shooting for the guy in this picture (turns out to be the owner of the paintball field i shot at) so im really happy about that.

this is a favorite shot of mine i took it right after my final lacrosse game and i love the expressions and the color tones that my lens gets. i saw one of our captians little nephew walking over to his toy when i grabbed the camera from the team photographer and took the picture. i really like this pic for the puzzled look on his face. that and the fact that he was puzzled over such a small toy i found it really ironic. overall very pleased thanks MR. Hooke for handing the camera over.

this was taken at our lacrosse tournament in Winslow, AZ. we had breaks between each game and i stole the camera from our team photographer and took this while someone was crying over a good check to his ribs. first of all i like the contrast of colors the green and the orange and how they’re almost complimentary but still not. i also love the round shape atop this very confusing grass. the shadows on this ball also are very unique and allow someone to view it in 2 parts and not just one whole ball so it gives them time to seperate things in their head and doesnt overwhelm them.

this shot i also took at the Winslow Tournament and i really like the positioning of the guy cradling the ball. how his leg is in the air and is in motion but there’s no blur. i really like sports photography. although this isnt a great shot framing wise i still like the sharpness of the colors and the lines in the players legs.

these were all taken at a recent tennsi tournament that my little bro competed in for national ranking. i personally thought that tennis couldnt be a good sport to shoot because there’s one pose every photographer gets and thats the ball hitting the racquet and i soon learned that i could have all sorts of fun even when the ball wasnt in play. i think i did a great job of shooting this event and i found that art comes in all shapes, sizes and games when looked at with the right attitude.

hannah

this one is of a dear friend of mine who i find most beautiful and fun. anyway i like this picture because of the darkness in has, when really she’s a very loving beautiful person and i liked showing off this side that only a handful get to see. some things im going to work on next time is framing because of her toes at the bottom of the page are cut off and thats not good framing i also might turn the camera a bit to give it a sense of unbalance adding to the hatred shown in her face. i love this shot really good job by my model. thanks

this one is my personal favorite not just because shesshowing off her panties but the facial expression and and the hand positioning. her right hand shows this like sort of like shocking look with her fingers spread out but on the otherside she’s relaxed. this really really helps the eye get down there and notice the point of this shot. next time i think im going to shoot some other background so she’ll pop off better or using more back lights. but i love this shot very very much and loved how it came out.

alright this one i like because it is very contrasting from the other 2 and very much so compliments her personality. the head positioning and the shoulder positions have a great help in leading your eye down her body and doesnt cause a lot of tension when you look at it. the facial look was very helping because it relaxes the entire picture and very much so tones down the mood after viewing the other 2 shots. again a big thanks to my model hannah for being so fun and friendly your the best sweetheart and i bet we will be seeing more and more of her later on.

three shots of the week

Picture of moon
For this shot and most of the shots of the weeks to come im focusing on lines and how they can lead people to where i want them to look. The first shot im focusing on the moon and its many interior lines. The gentle curve that the moon has in the top right corner of my shot gives it a feeling of gentleness. the rigid lines and fast moving life around the moon gives it the feeling of reality and even though life still moves fast around us, theres still beauty in the simple things. Colors are very contrasting with the dark blue night sky and the beautiful white moon illuminating the sky for the evening. The focus was not obviously on color but more on the lines in the shot. Overall im very pleased with the shot and how big my subject was in comparision to the overall framing. This was a lucky catch for the moon being so big too and i just so happened to have all my camera stuff on me. Im very pleased with the outcome.

Gabby

This shot was a focus on more of how i could use liones in the background to draw attention to my subject. Now as you see i put my subject in the corner where most people start reading a picture so automatically you begin with the image of the girl. then as you travel down the fram you notice her eyes and how well they pop out of the background and how her face and hand are the attraction of the shot. The gentle curve and the end of her nose doesnt send you off into the rest of the shot but more down the rest of her untill you reach the bottom where the hand draws you back up to her face again. The blue background was a great way to make her pop right out of the background without the proper lighting due to none of the colors match and she just flows with the shot. Overall im very very pleased with this shot. The main purpose was to actually show my girlfriend this beautiful little girl that i work with at my church and i was overwhelmed with how the shot turned out. The lighting was just superb and the exposure time needed just a little adjustment and a little bit brightening but overall i was very happy with this shot.
